Rio 2016 Olympic Games Brand

At first I thought the design team did a fantastic job with the brand. At second, third, fourth, and fifth look I still think they did a hell of a job with the brand. It just screams out something that would come from Brazil while maintaining a great design. From the logo, to the chosen font, and once you see the rings below, you have that "oOoOoh" moment. If this was the elementary school of design, the team would have got the A+ with the smiley face sticker that makes you know you did a lil bit more than the kid who has his mom do all the big projects.

I mean just start with the logo. There is movement representing the games themselves, the country that always seem to be having a party, and the holding of hands which is uniting all the countries of the world for a greater good. Yes, I may work on my presidential speech shortly after. Anyways, added to that, you have high arch within it are not random, they are actually in the shape of the of one of Rio's most famous landscapes. Hell of job from these guys I have to admit.

I'm not sure but if I was a betting man, Rio is a place that know how to throw a party. And if anyone is going to unseat Beijing in the near future for best Olympic games display, I got it on Brazil. Now on to more pressing matters. Gotta work on getting some tickets to those beach volleyball matches ;-]
